Look for products meeting or exceeding ANSI/ISEA cut level A9 or EN388 Level 5 standards, with puncture-resistant liners and outer leather shells. Maintain slow, fluid motions when reaching for materials. Keep your eyes fixed on your hands and arms to avoid accidental contact with blades.

Cut binding wires carefully and maintain control of the coil at all times to prevent sudden, uncontrolled expansion.

Secure each loop using clips or clamps to prevent deformation and separation during and after installation.

5. Warning Signage and Public Notification

Post-installation, it is critical to install clear warning signs or labels in the vicinity of the razor wire installation. This alerts individuals to the potential hazards and serves as both a safety measure and a liability safeguard. Compliance with local legislation and standards is essential to prevent legal liabilities.

6. Emergency Preparedness

Despite all precautions, accidents can occur. Every installation site should have:

A fully stocked first-aid kit with trauma shears, antiseptic, and sterile bandages.

A designated individual trained in basic first aid and wound management.
